We installed a XL power transfer seat from Adapt Solutions in a customer’s 2010 Chevy Z-71 crew cab last week. If you've been wanting a vehicle that sits up higher than a standard car but you were worried about transferring from your chair, this is the solution for you.
The XL installs in such a way that you can use your factory seat and still use the rear seat right behind it! You can even recline the seat that the XL is installed with. The transfer board is also quickly removable if someone not needing it wants to drive the vehicle.
The XL seat folds down to the level of your wheelchair, you transfer over to the XL, pull down the safety bar, hold down the up switch and the XL powers you up to seat level. Once there you transfer to the seat, lower the XL down to floor level, fold it up and off you go!
